a variety of humans rave over the odor of heat apple pie permeating their kitchen. it’s quite remarkable, but in a “been there, done that” kind of way.

allow’s be rebels. roast a few garlic alternatively. its odor is equally aromatic but the completed product is a lot extra hip-pleasant, particularly whilst we puree it with some cauliflower and flip it into soup. now this is just a wholesome addiction waiting to appear. (and it’ll make our kitchens odor like an italian bistro. guess an apple pie can’t do that!)

serves four, adapted from the novice chef weblog

1 tbsp flour
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large head garlic
1 head cauliflower
1 carrot, chopped
1 big yellow onion, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
half of tsp clean cracked black pepper
1/four tsp dried thyme
1/four tsp cajun seasoning
2 1/2 cups vegetable broth, divided
half of cup water
6 oznonfat greek yogurt


preheat oven to four hundred. cut cauliflower into character florets. spray with cooking spray and transfer to a foil-lined baking sheet. reduce the pinnacle of garlic in half of horizontally. wrap every half of in foil. region wrapped garlic on the baking sheet. roast the garlic and cauliflower for 20-25 minutes. whilst the cauliflower is smooth and golden, eliminate it from the oven. roast the garlic for 10-15 mins greater. when it’s miles carried out, it ought to be golden, smooth and aromatic.

blend in a food processor, blender or with an immersion blender. upload greek yogurt and puree until clean. upload salt and pepper to taste. serve right away.
